Alpha
Most of you might have might have seen the movie - Alpha. The movie is directed by Albert Hughes and is very inspiring and gritting. One will feel moved after watching this movie. In the movie that there are group of males who go out far places in to hunt and and storing them for winter. The group has to do this every year else their troupe will die of hunger. Now the leader of the troupe prepares the young lads to go for hunting. The ones weak are restrained from joining with them. There are 2 lads selected to hunt with the troupe. The journey begins with the troupe moving from the forests and resting at night to go hunting next day. Suddenly they hear a voice and every gets up from their sleep, the leader of the troupe realizes that their is a lion nearby the tents. The lion jumps and out of no where catches a young lad not the leader's son and runs away. No one in the troupe is able to help the lad and he dies. The leader's son is terrified seeing all this, the leader explains that you will have become strong and need to be always cautious with your surrounding. The day comes where they have to hunt, there are a group of cows,buffaloes that appear on the field for food. The troupe slowly approaches with a view to attack the animals but looking at the animals they look dangerous and sighting them they run away the boy also runs toward the animals. The animals run and some get attacked by hunters, the rest of them fall of from the cliff of the mountain.
The young lad is also pushed by the animals and pushed from the cliff. The young lad falls between the rocks, however, the troupe does not notice that and believe that the lad has also fallen of the cliff and died. The leader of the troupe i.e. his dad cries his heart out believing his son died. The troupes return back with their hunt to their home, meanwhile the leader is sobbing unconscionable. The lad gets hurt and wakes up and he shouts for his dad, but nobody comes to his rescue. He is now left alone no one for his help and has hurt his body and broken his ankle. Now his real struggle starts, he walks with his broken ankle, twists his bone and ties branches over his ankle. For food he eats the insects alive for his survival. Suddenly he is surrounded by wolves, he tries so run hard with his broken ankle but has no option but to fight the wolves. Somehow he fights and hurts one wolf. Instead he takes care of the wolf and takes him with his stride. Gradually gaining the wolf's trust, he gives it water and then food, establishing himself as dominant by feeding himself first. He sets out for the home without the wolf, but it follows him. Their relationship grows, and they learn to hunt animals together. Along the way, the lad names the wolf Alpha.
One night, they are attacked by a pack of wolves. Upon seeing Alpha, who steps forward to greet them, they recognize her. The pack run off and Alpha joins them.
The lad continues his journey alone as the season changes to winter. On a frozen lake, he encounters a pack of wolves feeding. Recognizing Alpha, he runs to them, but the ice breaks and he falls through. Alpha helps rescue him and they are reunited.
Continuing the journey together, they find a man who has frozen outside his tent and scavenge a bow and arrow from it. Later, they take refuge from cave hyenas in a cave where they are attacked by the same, cave lion that killed lad's friend. Alpha brutally fights the cave lion and lad fires the arrow at the animal, killing it. However, Alpha is badly injured in the fight and now travels with difficulty. Meanwhile, an equally injured lad begins to cough up blood. When Alpha finally cannot walk, lad carries the wolf.
The lad eventually finds his village while nearly passing out from exhaustion and reunites happily with his shocked, but relieved parents; who are both amazed and proud of him. As the village healer tends to both lad and Alpha's wounds, Alpha delivers a litter of puppies to lad's surprise as Alpha is revealed to be a female. Alpha and her pups are formally welcomed into the tribe and grow up in the care of Alpha and lad. In time, the tribe become one of both humans and domesticated wolves, hunting together.
This movie clearly depicts the struggle, setbacks and dangerous situations that lad goes through. However, the lad does not give up because he knows that if he gives up he will die and not see his parents again.
